We are in the middle of rolling out os x. Our creative server used to be NT 4.0. If they dropped lets say a jpg from an os x to the nt 4 server, it would open fine on a os 9 box. Now our creative server is a 2000 box connected to a SAN. If a os 9 drops a jpg on thte 200 box, another os 9 opens it fine. If a os x box drops a jpg on the 2000 box another os x can open it fine. Now the problem. If a os x box drops a jpg on my 2000 box, and a os 9 trys to open it, it asks what app to use to open this file...

??? any suggestions???

OS X quit using type and creator codes, so the OS 9 box doesn't know that the file is a JPEG or what application to open it with.

I have a similar problem. I have a Snapserver
connected to Windows machine and one iMac
(OS X) In some applications, the mac can see the
JPG files on the server but it is greyed out and
cannot be opened. Any ideas how to make the
mac able to see and use the files?
