OS X Task administrator exist???

Hi everybody, i´m trying to know if the task adminsitrator exist in osX, like XP (ctrl alt delete). To cancel some running (freezed) program.
and, do u know what is the file format of the osX, (ej fat32, NTFS or something like that)

click on the apple on the top left and select force quit, and choose the app you want to shut down.
Or bring up terminal and type "ps aux" and it will list everything that is running on the computer. The second thing listed is the process ID. You can then use the kill command to shutdown the program.

Via the Apple in upperleft, click on Force Quit, it brings up the familiar box with running programs, select the problem application and force quit it, then you should be good to go.
