Comment:

My MacBook Pro crapped out on me and I'm trying to re-install the OS X. But during the install, I get an error message "You cannot install Mac OS X on this volume. Mac OS X cannot star up from this volume. I get this error when selecting a destination volume to install the Mac OS X software.

What can I do to pass this prob.?

Thanks....

try booting from the install DVD and use Disc Utility to reformat the drive before doing the install.
