Hi all
Have an interesting problem here that no-one seems to know the answer to :D
I use an Ethernet connection through a cable modem configured by DHCP.
I need to find out IP leasing information.
I am unable to find out where the IP lease Obtained and Expires are stored on OS X. I know it is stored in Linux (Can't remember where), but am unable to find it (Or Find anyone who knows where to find it) in OS X.
Some-one has said it's possible through ifconfig (But they couldn't expand on this!LOL)
It must be stored somewhere as your PC needs to renew it's IP after 50% and 87.5% of the IP lease.

I am a little confused by your question as it is the HOST who sets the DHCP lease. Most cable modems are set with a lease of 30 days. So you have to turn off the modem once a month and release the IP. When you turn it back on a new lease is aquired and you are good for another 30 days.
