please help, I did check this forum and follow all tips and tricks still no luck I'm trying to share internet connection through a MAC G4 OSX 10.2.8 and a PC/XP problem is that I get my ADSL connection using a USB modem and on the sharing connection there's mention that i'm connect through ethernet connection where I'm not, I can figure out how to set my mac to use the ethernet to share internet he got through the usb modem as the connection is not an PPPoE which stand for ethernet protocol, so if I'm un-checking this 'connect using ethernet built-in' my USB modem stop working anyone knows how? on XP is so easy that is why I like to turn the mac as the Host assuming XP should just got the Ip automatically

what I would do is Check the modem has an ethernet connection (RJ45) first. If the modem was supplied to you by a provider I'd get them to supply a RJ45 cable. Then have the router connected to your Mac RJ45, and the modem atache to the router, if it's an external modem. Then connect your Win XP PC to the router. If you already have registerd the broadband connection on one computer the all you have to do is enter the web site in a browser on the other. I hope this is of some help because i have been throughh the same proccess with OSX 10.2 and Win XP
