No. To run Jaguar (or any version of Mac OS newer than 8.1), you need a PowerPC processor.

Maybe look into a nice Linux? I've been using Mandrake on and off for about 6 months. It's nowhere near as smooth or easy as Jag, but it's nice.

And with Mac-on-Linux, you can get at least a pretty decent idea of what the Mac OS is like.

Yeah, but MOL only runs on PPC hardware, not x86. The bottom line: you want to run a modern Mac OS, get a Mac.

To open up another can of worms...you could install Darwin on a peecee, but it's just an ugly gui-less *nix variant with no real advantage over RedHat, SUSE, or Mandrake, but the distinct disadvantage of no support.
