OS 9.1 and freeze

I use IE 5 and it freeze instantly when
Itunes is running...
I've QT 5 and it never works to open TV
channel...it freeze also...
The software update has never been able
to update anything...always an error
message...
And I've a new Imac 600 with mac OS 9.1
Anybody with same problems ?
The most stable Mac OS is 8.1 !

Use extention manager to switch to the MacOS All set, restart. If it acts ok then the problem is a 3rd party extention that you will need to track down. (but shutting them back on one at a time) If it still crashes there are other things you can do but it might be best to back up personal data and just restore.
