Hey remember me? Well I finally got a monitor for the Mac IIvx. It turns out it is in great shape, running OS 7.1, 100 MB HD and 20 MB of Ram. Infact, there is Microsoft WordPerfect on it, and some old games to :-)...
There is only one last step remaining. Networking it so I can File Share between my Power Mac 7300/200 and the Mac IIvx. I have Localtalk adapters plugged into the Printer Port on both of the machines. I know the adapters work because they were at one point being used in a school I did work for (they got rid of Macs and gave me lots of parts). On the machien running OS 9.1, I turn on Appletalk to Printer Port, TCP/IP is MacIP and when I go to chooser there is nothing there. The problem I think is that it doesnt appear to be any MacTCP on the Mac IIvx although there is file sharing. There is also no Appletalk. I know it is possible to network these machines together, but if someone knows how to do this, or where I can get MacTCP and Appletalk for a OS 7.1 Mac IIvx, you would help me out a lot.
Note: The ultimate goal is to get the Mac IIvx on the Windows 2000 network I have using Apples LocalBridge software, some IP Routing Utils, etc, I will send data from the Mac IIvx to the Powermac which will then reroute the data from the Printer ports to Ethernet Ports and real TCP/IP, which then will go to a Windows 2000 Machine which is connected to the internet and a Windows Network...
Again any help is appreciated... I know this is really rare...
