I recently installed O/S X update 10.3.5. Since that time I have been unable to open Quark 5.0 in Classic. I don't know for a fact that the two are connected but prior to installing the O/S update I never had a problem opening Quark in Classic. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I've had problems running Quark 4 in the past in Classic environment, although I don't anymore.
Check that your OS 9 installed is Version 9.2.2. if so, reinstall mac OS 9.

I do have the latest version of OS 9 as that is what comes with OS X. I don't have a separate installer disc for OS 9 and I am not really sure what re-installing 9 would do for me. I guess I could use the Panther install disc and do a custom install of just OS 9 although I am still not sure what that would accomplish.
I have never had any problems with Quark in Classic until I upgraded from 10.3.4 to 10.3.5. I think there must be a glitch between the latest version of OS 10 and Quark. I have decided to bite the bullet and step up to Quark 6 which is compatible with O/S 10, but very pricey. Frankly Quark is the only reason I ever use Classic and it is a pale comparison to 10 and I would really like to get to where I never need to use Classic again.
