Hello Anna. The OS for the powerbook 150 is 7.5 or later. Probably it should be easier to get OS 8.1 or 8.6 than 7.5. Make sure you have enough RAM to support the OS you'll be using.

A 150?!?!? I would stick with the lowest system you can live with. Don't go beyond 7.6. Your meager hardware arsenal you're packin' in that cute little box ain't gonna plow any roads if you dog it with a heavy system like 8 or above. Max out your ram and run a lean system (don't install what you don't need!) and you will be thankful.

At Apple's ftp sites you can now download System 7.5 (7.5.3 and 7.5.5) free of any charges. It is the CD version but it comes in 20 disk images so if you decide to download it then you will need that many (20) floppy's.
System 7.1 is also available and is just 6 floppies all together.
If you have any problems installing your system software then feel fee to give me an email, I like to help if I can.
