Comment: I just got a Powerbook yesterday (after years with PCs) and I was wondering if there's a shortcut to open a location on the internet browser, Safari. On Windows (using IE), I can type Ctrl-O and a dialog box will pop up where I can type in the URL. On Mozilla, I can type Ctrl-Shift-L. I tried some shortcut yesterday (maybe Cmd-Shift-L on Mozilla) but it just takes me to the address bar near the top of the browser. Is there a way to open up a dialog box to type in the address?

Reply: (edit)as you're talking about locations, try 'Open location' in Safari, CMD+L. I tried this myself since i never have before but it doesn't seem to do much... hope this helps Joshua Coventry Apple Computer Specialist

Reply: (edit)To see all available shortcuts for Safari, Right Click on the Safari Application icon or Control Click to Show Package Contents. You'll see the Contents folder, open that then the Resources folder. Scroll down tto Shortcuts.html. Double click that and it will open a Safari page will all shortcuts. You can Option drag that file to your desktop for quick reference.
