How does one open a .img file? Can one get

What you need is a utility from apple called
"Disk Copy". I believe that the current
version is 6.3.3. This is available for free
from the Apple site and probably from
MacDownload as well. Be aware that there are
two types of .img files and that the newer
type needs at least version 6.0 to open

I have the latest Disk Copy - 6.3.3 but it
still won't open an image file of mine. This
file ends in .img . What can I do

It was probably made using Shrinkwrap for Alladin, the same people who make StuffIt. If you download the demo you should beable to open it.
