My apologies if I've posted this twice.

I'm using MS Office 2008 for the Mac. Often, but not always, when I
open a document the Mail Merge Manager drop-down opens as well.
I've gone into the Normal.dotm template, but saw nothing there I
could change. This is annoying, but I can live with it. Does anyone
have some suggestions?

Also, when I open Normal.dotm, an ordinary new doc comes up
rather than that file. Am I supposed to save that as Normal.dotm
when I'm finished, thus replacing the old file? In my PC, when I open
Normal.dot, that's what comes up.

I'm new to a Mac...as maybe you can tell. Thanks!
