Alex,

Before transferring your downloaded Apple Mac
files to you Mac, make sure that they have their
correct extensions appended - eg: download.sit -
or download.hqx - or download.jpg

After transferring these Mac files across, restart
your Mac with the "alt option" key and the "apple-
command" key - held down at the same time just
as the Mac;s screen goes black - and keep them
held down all the way to full and final start-up. It
will then ask you a question:

"Are you sure you want to rebuild the desktop?"

Release the "alt option" and "Apple-command"
keys - and click on OK. These files should now
open correctly.

Note: with PC files - Mac OS will not be able to do
anything with files that end in: .exe.
exe are windows files only.

Hope this helps.

cheers

cw
