Comment:
A friend emailed a video in an .exe file. I downloaded the bink player so that it could open the .exe file on my mac. However, the file is not bink type. Is there anyway I can open the .exe file without bink player?

bink? the only way to open an .exe (windows executable code) is to use a pc environment on your mac, ie, Virtual pc from www.connectix.com or softwindows from i forget where. A simpler alternative is to have him send this file not as a windows app, but as an actual video, .mov, .avi, .mpeg, even an .asf which u could play using various proggies in ur native mac environment
Summary: MacLink won't help. An .exe file (excutable program) is PC ONLY. You can however, run it on a Mac using a PC emulator like VirtualPC. http://www.connectix.com/products/vpc.ht ml ...
Summary: No, you will need to run MSaccess under a pc emulation program such as softwindows98 or virtual PC to open any MSaccess files on a mac. Perhaps Microsoft will port MSaccess to the mac someday! ...
Summary: Yes, you can up-zip .exe files on a mac, Stuffit Expander 5.5 should do the job.... but I have no clue why would want to... you can't use it on a Macintosh!! You need VPC.. Or just get IBM.......
