I am using a PNY Card reader (P/N FPTS-S) and once in awhile my computer will freeze when I try to download the pictures to a blank folder.
The card readers Icon is on the screen. Is there some software I should have for this card reader?

The only suggestion I have would be to download and reinstall the driver for the reader from Olympus' website. I looked for this product online and reviews note that it does not need any drivers for OS X. Since you are running OS 9 though you might want to try that and see if it helps.
Good luck!
