I have an old PowerBook I want to donate to someone who has no computer. I actually have several of these (1400cs/117), but they all came with 12MB RAM, which won't allow much to run. Are there any good web outlets/resale shops for old Mac memory? Any info is appreciated.

If I'm not mistaken, they will just run standard old notebook memory, which may just be old 72pin simms. I know that the older mac desktop systems run regular 30pin simms. Crack it open and see.

pt,
I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a 1400 or two ot three. I am looking to get involved with computer access for disabled people and they would be a great start. I would buy more ram. Email me if amenable.

They definitely do NOT take standard RAM. Anything over 24MB is going to be quite expensive. I know a good 501(c)(3) that could use them if you want a tax write-off, though. Contact me privately.
