Since installing system 9.1 on my G-3, I've not been able to open anything in my Office 98 softwares. It gives me the following message: "unexpected critical error; can't start program" Is there any upgrade or plug-in I can get to solve this problem?
Go to MS site and look for an upgrade, I believe there might be one available. I have Office 98 and 9.1 and no problems. You might want to uninstall and reinstall.

I'm having the same problem, exact same message. Did you find a fix. Have poked around MS site, but not found a fix. Did however, find a warning that removing office 98 from Mac could cause the System folder to be deleted!!!
