OE 4.0 ---> 5.0 the hard way

Hello -
My folks just bought a new iMac and I've saved their old OE 4.0 default user folder with all the database files (address book, inbox etc.) contained inside. I've had them upload it from their old machine to one of those web virtual drive sites, and then download to their new machine. The problem is that the new iMac has OE 5.0 and the supporting files seem to have changed (their names and most likely their formats). We tried importing, but that didn't go too smoothly. Can I import the data with only the default user folder on the new iMac (not the entire application?)
