Hi,
I have a desktop PC running on win xp and I have an Mac i-book that I am trying to connect in a small network using a Linksys Wireless Access Point Router.
Both the machine have been assigned IP's using DHCP.
I enabled file sharing on both the machines, but am not able to see the shared folders on either of the machines.
In short,I cannot detect the other machine on the network.
Also,I can ftp into the mac but am not able to telnet.I get a error message which says that telnet was refused by the machine on port 23.
What am I doing wrong?

What OS is the Mac running? It's not gonna see the Windoze machine, or vice versa, unless you're running either DAVE or OS X 10.2.
