Hi, After a wierd and sudden crash,
norton suggested that my file dates were
fixed. After fixing 55.000 something dates
I found out that all dates were changed
into feb 6 2040. that means ALL dates..
some mess... "this fix can not be undone"
after doing it again it reset one date to the
correct one but all other dates were set to
the recent time. Wierd thing is, I did not
have to reset my clock, the time itself
seems unchanged. Does anyone have
any idea on how to fix this? THANX!

Hi Anke,
My IBook is filled with 6 Feb 2040 files
too. Never new how it happened! Now I
feel I have to blame Norton for this
mess??? I used Norton Utilities 3.5 but
banned it after it created problems on my
HD so that it did not mount any longer.
Thought it was my fault using too old a
version for my IBook that runs OS9.1.
