No hardware is available when the system is checked using tech tool and monitors and sounds, under OS 8, and sound, under OS 9, report no hardware available. I even tried a new personality card for my G3 266 and no go..even under OS's 8-9.0.4. Is there some low cost PCI solution to re-add sound as in the usasge of a generic driver and a PC PCI card say from creative labs or another vendor OR is my only choice to get a new logic board? And Is there some dianostic tool that can check specific Hardware componet for functionality?
Summary: I took my dvd drive from my pc to see if i could use it on my mac G3 [blue and white] here is the msg (apple dvd player cannot opne because the required hardware was not found ) can i get an outside...
