No soft restart

I have a G3 MT 233 sys 8.6 I recently upgraded to a Sonnet G4/400/200. Now I'm unable to get a soft restart from special menu or with Command/Control/Pwr key. This happens with extensions off or Apple base extensions as well. Cold boot is ok.
