Model/Manufacturer: white ibook

my gilfriend hsa an ibook, she was using it and it frozed so she restarted it and it didnt boot again,is there any other way to strt the machine besides presing the on boton?also can i install her operating system on 1 of my pcs and connect her harddrive as slave so i can view her files and back them up?any sugestions are welcome,thanks

You can't install OS X on a PC without some major hacking,
and PC's can't read OS X formatted hard drives without 3rd
party utilities.

What is the iBook doing? no power at all? do you get the start
up chime? Would help to know what model of iBook it is as
well.

it wouldnt turn on at all, now the screen is white but no chimes or letters coming up on the screen I will get back to you with the model asap
also the cdrom wont open

try resetting the PMU. Once you figure out the model of the
iBook, use the instructions on this page...
