I was using IE4.5 on OS9, but could no longer get to my HotMail account, so was recommended to upgrade to IE5.x. No problem. I tried 5.1.4 first. Accessed my HotMail account within minutes. But after a computer restart, there is no longer an address bar OR standard buttons. The odd thing is that they're checked in the View menu. They just don't show up. So I then tried IE5.1.5. Same thing. Ugh. So I went back to IE4.5, and amazingly, it now has the same problem!

What gives? Any ideas? thanks all

Quit IE, toss out IE's preferences, and then re-open IE.
