Comment: I have a new G4 dual 1Gig and I am just learning the OS X. When I am in the System Pref area and click on 'sharing' and 'printing' System Prefs closes down unexpectedly. I have rebooted etc but I still can't open these two things. Any suggestions please.

Reply: (edit)three areas I would look into: 1). no network/bad network setup, you cant do sharing if your not connected to a valid network. 2). corrupted drive, run norton etc. 3). corrupted System Prefs, ouch, uninstall/reinstall system software, pain in the butt...

Reply: (edit)What kind of crack are you smoking, Johnzarp? Corrupted system prefs just mean you toss the Prefs folder and restart. Not a pain at all - very very easy, rather... p
