I have to Macs, running OS X (10gig HD) on one and 9.2.2 (40gig) on the other. I want to have a nightly backup of BOTH HD's, preferably with a restorable HD image. What software would I need and what hardware? For instance, can I use and external HD with 120gigs? An how do I get the image back on the machine if, say, the HD is fried? Thanks anybody who can help! Kyle Please email me the answer, if possible.

A huge hard disk should work, yes. Retrospect is probably your best bet for backup software.
Getting the image back on the machine should be reasonably simple once you have the backup set made - just follow the instructions in Retrospect's manual.
