Need to RESET ROOT password

I forget the password that I set this weekend to the "ROOT" user account.
Is there any way i can change it via the OS or 3rd party software?

yes there is.. if your have the os disk insert and start from it...right before you install look at the top menu you should see utilities click on it and browse down to reset password.

Thank you much, i also found another very helpful way in which you can reset the password and not even need the cd nor know the prior ROOT password.
but its all in Unix :(
