I need a free c compiler for Mac and I
don't know where to find a good and easy
one. Apple developer has some but
they're too hard too use. I'm just begining
to program so I don't want to spend a lot
of money. Please help!

You get what you pay for. Don't expect an easy-to-use compiler for nothing. CodeWarrior has a pretty good intro-to-programming type of thing (or used to) that was reasonably inexpensive, however - I think it was about $50 or so, and less for students. Check out the Metrowerks Web site.
p

get "Macintosh Programmer Workgroup"
or so, short MPW.
Its free, its from apple, and it is not so
easy to use.
Get it somewhere from
ftp://ftp.apple.com/developer/
...err....CoreUtils...MPW_GM or so
or search the apple siteand your get Project Builder and C
compiler for free with MacOS X

Uh, he just said Apple's were too hard to use.
If you ask me, that's probably not Apple's problem - they write their developer software for developers, not beginners - but I don't know if Metrowerks even still offers that intro package.
p

i mean with "not easy to use" that you
need some time to find out, how
compiling etc works (MPW uses kind of
command line interface). Not like in
CodeWarrior where you just have to click
onto a "Compile" button.
But i think also beginners can use it :o)pro MPW:
MrC/MrC++, the compiler comming with
MPW (also available as CodeWarrior
Plugin) is said to produce faster code
than the one from Metrowerks.
MPW is free. If you should decide, coding
is not the right for you, you havent wasted
any money.
MPW is from apple. You always get latest
updates. Metrowerks wants money for the
third update i think. (it was so back those
times i bought CW)pro CW:
CW comes with whole lot of
documentation, examples, tutorials.
Most Sample Code you will find on the
Web will be for CodeWarrior. Its easy to
use. In the Academic/Student version its
about...hmmm..i think $200 or so...check
their website :o)last thing: if your mac is "new generation", you should seriously consider upgrading to MacOS X. you get a compiler (easy to use!) for free with it!
nuff said, now decide hehe :o)
