mySQL password

I few months ago I installed mySQL and configured it but did not have the time to devote to learning it then. I recently came back to it since there have been a few improvements and thought I would try again. Problem is, I cannot remember mySQL password. I have tried every flavor I would normally use. My question is, how can I retreive it, or failing that, how do I uninstall mySQL and start over?

Perhaps a better bet would be to ask someone in one of the many MySQL or PHP forums.

Only a suggestion.

You will not be able to retreive your password to
MySQL, if you could some how retreive it MySQL
would be very insecure.

I would recommend you re-install MySQL as this will
overwrite any of your original passwords/tables.
