My PC-MAC internet sharing network

i got a mac and a pc...both are hooked in the hub...the printer is in the uplink..and i got a second nic in the PC for the cable modem...now my problem is...how do i get the Mac to access the cable modem which is in teh second NIC in the PC?

First you will need to check with your ISP about getting a second IP for the second machine. Your modem needs to plug in the UPLINK port not the printer. You will also need to set up the correct protocols. Check out www.coolgeeks.net for how to do this.

if the PC is running 98SE check out ICS. Otherwise look fo r other internet sharing programs like allaboard at internetshare.com Make sure you get one that is compatible with Mac and PC. Look specificlly for ones called NAT. If you run 98SE then set the mac TCP/IP stack to DHCP to get settings or manually set them, don't believe what they say, it will work with any OS that has a TCP/IP stack.
