Comment: Hi I work at a school and we have a mac lab with about 20 imacs all running macos 9. I have just setup Multiple users so as the students can "log on" as such, there is a general student login and a yr 12 logon so as the yr 12s can keep there work safe from other students. The problem is that they are using adobe premiere for importing footage off digital video cameras and adobe premeiere keeps getting this message about not having permission to turn on file sharing. This happens even when under the multiple users control panel I make it a "normal " type of login (and give them rights to everything) opposed to Panels or limited. Also with Imovie it will not let the students play their movie in one action they have to keep clicking on the individual clip and playing then clicking on the next clip and playing that and so on. The only way to fix this is to log in as the "owner" and play their movie and log out and log back in as yr 12. This seems to overcome the problem but is there any way to fix it as I have to go down to the mac lab everytime they want to play their movies??? Any infomation about overcomming these problems with multiple users set up would be great as we really need to safeguard the yr12 work and this seems the easiest way so far. Also any other information about how we could "lock down" a yr 12 folder or something without causing problems like this would be appreciated . Thanks
