I would like to know if ANY Mac program, can open (or save files in MS Works 6/7 format-i.e., .xlr for spreadsheets) Microsoft Works 6/7.0 Files?

I think the question isn't "Can any program save in Works 6/7 format?", but "What formats does Works open?"

AppleWorks is probably your best bet; maybe Nisus Writer. However, it may not be imperative that you save as a WORKS format.

Dataviz's Maclinkplus can translate MS Works documents, both for opening and saving.

It can work with any Mac Word processor.
