believe it or not it is possible to play mp3's on a mac 68k. ill try to find the program that does it. just a sec

ive never gotten MpegDec 2.0 to work on my 68k. but i have gotten the mpg-123 to work although i had to not load any extensions and run it in black and white i still have a few mp3s i put on tape with my mac

OK thnx. MpegDec works, but the mp3s always skip, even when I downsample it, and turn off the stereo. my MAC is actually pretty well equipped. I have 20 MB RAM,a 250 MB HDD...But it's still too slow. Finn

What most people have told me is that an 030 doesn't work too well, although it can play *some* MP3s without skipping. Most 040s are good enough, though.
