I also am searshing for a program that will allow for the editing (cuttiing and splicing)of mp3 files. I have put in a request to a software develoing firm to create such a piece of software for me. I will keep you posted of the cost and time frame of this project should you be interested. Just contact me and let me know.

Dear Friends,
I had the similar requirement, but then I found probable solution with Data Becker Mp3 editor. It's a straight Mp3 editing Software. All though I have'nt used it at all, I am vouching it just on the basis of it's review.
Also, If you've found a better Mp3 editing Solution, please let me also know.

Try MP3Trim. It's freeware that works well for basic editing (fades, clips, etc). http://www.logiccell.com/~mp3trim/
