mouse pointer cursor arrow freezing

Greetings. I am using someone elses
Mac, a G4 running OS 9.2, and after
extended use, the pointer arrow for the
cursor of the mouse freezes. What could
be causing this???

Try tossing out your Finder Preferences and restarting.
