I changed the Hertz range to 85 and now I get an Out Of Range display error. The monitor is made by Optiquest and I haven't a clue how to tell the Mac O/S how to change the hertz back to a lower setting. Help

Reply:

Either zap your PRAM or try booting with extensions off and toss your Monitors Prefs file.

You might also be able to disconnect the monitor, boot, and reconnect it.
