Just bought a 733G4/256 for graphics work, wonders what your recommendations would be for a half decent monitor (flat screen/trinitron etc.) and also what kind of connection I should look for on the monitor to connect to my new computer.
Thanks, any tidbits of advice would be appreciated.

Well, if you just bought the computer you
can read up on what video display
connector you have........well....that's the
one you need on the monitor.
Apple Spec Database will tell you if you
don''t feel like looking in your maunal. You must be very new in the computer
graphics game if you don't know to stick
with a CRT. Well...stick with a CRT. A nice
SONY if you ask me. If you want to go
cheap get a Viewsonic graphics series.
Don't buy a monitor you see at any
computer chain store or 'super store' just
because it SAYS it's a graphics monitor,
or 'great for graphics', or professional, or
whatnot. Actually do some research.

I agree with fieraci here. Furthermore most monitors come with a 3 year waranty whereas the MAC monitors only give you 1 year.
I work in a publishing environment and we use sony trinitrons 21inch CRT (both on mac's and pc's). You could always use google and type in something like "monitor reviews" or better go to sony's site look up what you want and think is a nice monitor and then feed it to google and read the comments other sites and users have on that monitor. Sony has some splendid monitors but it also has some that are very, very bad.
