I have recently bought a macbook pro, but need to import
all the old emails i was using on my windows laptop. (XP)I was using Mozilla Thunderbird on the windows, and am
now using 'Mail' on the mac. I have tried moving the mail
between Thunderbird on windows to thunderdbird on mac
but that doesn't workUsing 'mail' on the Mac I can import from a back up USB
drive that stores my previous windows mail. After a great
deal of trouble it did import all my old mailboxes and
mail. However, although the mail looks like it is there,
when i open it, it gives me a message that reads'The message from XXXXX concerning (email title) has not
been downloaded from the server. You need to take this
account online in order to download it.I believe the mail is there, as the mailbox size is large, but
I cannot see it, or 'mail' does not want to open it.
It's proving a real problem. Any solutions gratefully
received.Failing that any other ideas for im porting of mail from
Windows to Mac
