Comment: This can't be true. I was told in order to play avi files, i need to install virtual windows, cause the mac OS won't play Avi files. it's just a codec, right??? i've tried many different avi files, and they won't play in quicktime, or media player for mac. Any suggestions? --Confused

Reply: (edit)Yes, which is why you usually have to try about five different things and even then it won't necessarily work. p
