Is there an update from ...
MacOS9.2 --> MacOS X

If so, is there anyway to return to my
original OS without losing anything?

Thanks in advance!

OS X is a new operating system, not an update.
You have to buy it.9.2.2 is the curent version of
the 9.x system.
