Hey everyone, and thanks ahead of time.. i have a quite old mac se, and it won't boot. I think the hard drive is bad, all it does is show a picture of a disk with a question mark. The computer itself is ok, it boots up with might and magic, just not from the hard drive.. if anyone has a hard drive or want's to buy an old mac with a kick butt trackball, let me know
Reinstall the system. The question mark means a valid system folder can't be found.

Bob.....YES BUT:.......The question mark DOES mean it can't find a system folder, but if the HARD DRIVE don't work then it would be next to impossible to find a OPERATING SYSTEM on it. Don't you agree?
Ramza: Try http://www.dirtcheapdrives.com/ or Ebay.com Otherwise I would buy your SE really cheap so I can make a maquarium out of it. Let me know.

I just won a bid on ebay for a drive that I really don't need(I thought I would be outbid but I had no competition that evening). 3.2 GB Quantum Fireball HDD that will be hopefully shipped Mac formatted as I requested. If interested just let me know and we can negotiate. You will probably need a utility like Disktool to begin working with it though so be prepared.

Search the web for 'macquarium'. Full instructions, parts lists, and photos to be found on MANY peoples sites!
