I'm looking for a laptop for college come fall, so I was thinking about picking up a Macbook sometime in late August. What I'm curious about is whether or not August is too early. I know that those who bought the Macbook Pro in the first few months frequently complain about poor quality, or defective parts, namely the battery. I know that people have been complaining about the white MB's turning yellow and the black ones flaking like the black ipods did. Do you think that that is enough time to work the bugs out of the manufacturing process? Thanks for the advise.

keep on rockin' in the free world

apple has fixed the discolourtation problem with white
macbooks btw. It was a mistake in the formula used. Not
sure about the flaking problem on black macbooks.

i'd say wait till august since the new core duo's are coming
out around then. They'll be about 20% more efficient while
using less energy (which also means less heat).
