I am currently running a pc and experiencing all the pain with virus's and spywares and the next major update to windows due in 2006,i am planning to make a switch into the apple world and for good.I read the "Switch" section on the apple website and found it very good, except for the fact that it could be commercialised for marketing.Thats why i need to know your experiences in using an apple and what advantages it has over an pc? Does it take a lot of time to adjust with the maxosx like linux? And recommend me a good portable.

well, what do you do w/ your PC, and what do you plan on doing in the future?

if all your going to do is browse the net, check email & type up a spread sheet or two or an word document then MAC OSX is great, its still vulnerable to viruses and such, its just that people dont make them as commmonly for Unix machines.

as far as ease of use i cant help ya there 'cause i started on a unix box and moved on to a PC/Win and have a Mac here just because i thought OSX being Unix Based was cool, for me its been a breeze to use only problem i have w/ it is that it doesnt have any games released on it soon enough and when they get ported sometimes its the same, some times it is slow or just plain sucks.
