Comment: ok so heres the situation, last week, saturday to be exact, my imac was working perfectly fine, i was on the internet, listening to music, everything...i left for a couple hours, then when i came back home, there was a strange noise, like when you put a piece of paper up to a fan, coming from it, so i tried restarting it to see if maybe it would stop, but it kept doing it, and it wouldnt boot up. so i unplugged it and left it unplugged for a while, then tried to start it up again, but the screen just stays black, and the power light blinks green 4 times, stays solid, then blinks again, it repeats over and over. the keyboard and mouse wont turn on/work on it, so i cant try booting from the cd. i did however insert the software disk, and now i cant eject it. i think it might be the video card or something, but i dunno. i took the cover off, took the ram out, put it back in, unplugged the hd and cd rom drive, didnt help, reconnected everything, took the battery out and put it back in, and pushed a black little button, i was told resets the pram or something, im not too sure. if anyone actually read all of this, any help is greatly appreciated. im thinking that ill probably have to take it somewhere to get it fixed by a professional, but before i shell out money for that, i want to try to do it myself. thanks
