They're differn't plugs?
The one that came with my ibook looks the same
as a standard pc's monitor plug!

Search for "Mac video pinout" and "VGA pinout" on Google and you'll be able to figure it out quite easily.

I'm using one right now, works great. It's
made by Philips model # 9AVMAC - 074I.
It's called "Switchable Adapter For Apple
Video Connector".
