MAC T-Bird Help

I just downloaded Mozilla Thunderbird email client. Works fine except I can't get it to play a custom wav file for new mail. It recognizes the file and outside of the program the file plays fine. It doesn't play when you hit the preview button within T-Bird or when new mail does come in. Such a crisis, I know ;p Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Seeing as you've solved your quibble, might I enquire, since I've never used Firebird, but I did wonder... Was it the Internet Config (or whatever it's called on OS 10)?
Only I use Mozilla Suite 1.3 on an older Mac with OS 9. I had the same problem. Mozilla allowed you to 'play a wav when new mail arrives' or something, only you couldn't specify it. You had to select 'System new mail sound', then go into Internet Config and select a mail sound from the system suitcase...
Ah, happy days.

Firebird actually lets you select the wav you want from anywhere on your drive. I'm not exactly sure what did it to make it start working.I had to reboot a couple of times since I was also playing around reseting my sounds for my trash bin. Sometime during that process it started working. Overall, the newer version is pretty straightforward and user friendly. We'll see if I feel the same way in another week or two;p
