Thanks in advance. My motherinlaw has a Mac that is experiencing sound problems. Whenever she opens a greeting card with a sound attachment, her Mac freezes up. She use to be able to do this, but she cannot now. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I don't know what system you are running, or what model Mac, but to start, go to the System Folder-Control Panels and go to the Sound Control Panel, and one-click on it to highlite it. then you should be able to go to File-Get Info-Memory and change the memory settings. Make the minimum match the suggested and then set the preferred to 1.5 times that. Then go to the System Folder -Preferences and get the Sound Preferences and trash them, and then restart and try it. The memory setting may not be possible if you are running certain older OS's. Post back with more info and your progress. Good Hunting!!!
