OK, first a few questions:

What model Mac?
What OS?
Do you mean physically locking the case, or blocking access?

Not much built-in security. There are 3rd party alternatives, however. Check out the following site for tons of info:

If it's a newer machine (G3 or better), OS X might be a reasonable option. It provides Unix-level security and stability and is really as easy to install and use as 9.
