I am an admin for a Windows domain. I have had this problem with 2 of our 5 Macs. They are all joined to our domain. Our users all connect to Windows servers using SMB. One day, one of the Mac's quit connecting to a server. When we try to connect, it gives the error "The Finder cannot complete the operation because some of the data in smb://........ could not be read or written. (error code -36)." All of our Mac's are running the same version of the OS and all can still connect except for this one. I have tried unjoining and rejoining the domain with different computernames. It will not connect with other users logging in, but it will connect if you login as a Local user of the computer and enter domain credentials when connecting to the server. The user of the computer can connect to the server from another Mac and the Mac having problems can connect to all other servers in the domain. Does anyone know of anything to try or what the problem may be. This had happened about six months ago with another Mac in our domain and we completly formatted and reinstalled the OS and everything else to get it to work. I don't want to do an entire reinstall just to be able to connect. ANY suggestions would help. Thank you.
